New Beginnings for Our PEERS Program

God is faithful! Despite restrictions due to COVID-19, we had the privilege of starting our PEERS program at ShinMyung Children’s Home virtually.

We’re partnering with six energetic and curious 1st graders twice a week for a season full of learning, friendship, and fun. What a joy it’s been introducing each of them to the alphabet and seeing how creative they are through tactile play and learning. With every session, I sense God’s deep love for them and count it an absolute privilege to play a small part in their language development. The PEERS program is both a gift and a timely opportunity for these bright learners. We are so encouraged by all that they have learned. Praise God!

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” - 1 Peter 1:3

Sunlin Orphanage

In March we had the blessing of adding wonderful volunteers to our teaching team. Susan, SonMi, Craig, and volunteers from Handong Global University have started in-person classes with seven first and second graders at Sunlin Orphanage. We are spending the first season of teaching setting a strong foundation for English learning through song, crafts, and games. Our students are engaged, eager to learn, and truly a blessing! It’s been so special to hold classes onsite. We believe human touch and interaction play an important part in shaping our students and count it an absolute privilege to be able to spend time together.
