Why English worship
At Pentecost, each person heard the wonders of God in their own language. For people far from home, praying and singing in English is how their hearts speak most freely. This service exists so that everyone around Gimcheon who prays, sings, and hears best in English has a worshiping home.
What to expect on Sunday
- A warm welcome, no spotlight on newcomers
- Praise songs sung in English, with words on screen
- Prayer, Scripture, and a short sermon in clear, simple English
- Children take part in the service and are invited to read Scripture
- Coffee, tea, and fellowship afterward
Beyond Sunday
- A weekday English Bible study, QT, and prayer time at the church
- A weekly morning QT and prayer session on Zoom for those with work commitments
- Days and times announced at launch, with details shared at the service
Our story
Faith N Hope International Ministry and Thesehwoom Church partnered during the 2026 summer English programs and in ongoing support of FnH's ministry to children in Gimcheon. Out of that friendship, Thesehwoom Church opened its doors to an English Ministry, a church within a church, planted inside Thesehwoom and led together with Faith N Hope. The first service falls on the church's founding anniversary, and the opening sermon series, Planted, begins with Psalm 1, the same passage behind the church's own discipleship heritage.
The ministry is rooted in Faith N Hope's calling to abandoned, abused, and orphaned children, and it carries the prayer that hearts around Gimcheon will keep opening toward them.
