Moving vision into reality while trusting our Lord
Our "about" page/section provides a glimpse of what inspired my wife (Soo) to start this ministry. During our journey, starting as a newly married young couple, we had the amazing pleasure of mentoring and leading discipleship groups with young adults (some in our age group at the time) to live a life worthy of Christ’s calling. It was remarkable to see many heeding the call by going into full-time ministry, including a dear friend who now runs Mango House in Thailand. Others are serving our Lord as vocational-missionaries to corporate America and Korea. Though their role may be executives, leaders, and managers of multinational corporations, their calling is to fulfill the great commission in their vocational settings. The video below captures the transformation of DESIRE (to serve) that led to ACTION, which turned into a yearly short-term missions project while our children attended Peoria Christian School (PCS). It was an honor to work with Julie and others each year as we planned, prayed, and served. During 2005 - 2017, amazing things were happening through this small project. Lives were being saved and transformed, and we did it without any desire for recognition or title. It was simply the right thing to do, that is, to serve and love unconditionally. However, we also recognized that what we were doing was not a long term solution. We saw the plight of underserved, underprivileged, and children growing up without parental love, support, and care that our kids were receiving daily. Though Faith N Hope International Ministries’ path/journey took many turns, twist, and time, God's timing was perfect as he assembled the right individuals to dream and build what it is today. More work and sacrifice is needed in order to execute the vision. However, we are so thrilled to be joined by friends, volunteers, supporters, champions, and prayer warriors as the ministry continue to move forward. We are truly blessed to have sacrificial and godly board members. We are grateful for supporters of the ministry who allow Faith N Hope to continue. We are thankful to have so many who are praying for the ministry. God is good, and His ways are perfect when we trust Him and Him alone.
